On behalf of the congregation and Events Committee of KSI Muslim Community of Milton Keynes, I would like to invite you to an Open Mosque Day, to be held on 18 February 2018 at KSI Muslim Community of Milton Keynes. The event is due to start at 13:15 with registration and refreshments, and will go on till approximately 16:00, including a few speeches, a tour of the building, demonstration of prayers, and various displays/stalls for your perusal.
Our mosque is taking part in the national #VisitMyMosque initiative and in the spirit of friendship and conversation we hope to give members of the local community an engaging insight into the life of the mosque and to promote greater understanding of Islam. We anticipate welcoming local people from all walks of life to visit the mosque and meet with its diverse Muslim congregation.
The KSI Muslim Community of Milton Keynes has a community of over 100 families and on Friday prayers it attracts more than 50 worshippers. Its unusual classical architecture draws visitors from schools and the public throughout the year. The open attitude of the mosque and its people make a major contribution in fostering interfaith and intercultural understanding in the local community.
We would be honoured to have your presence on the day and for you to extend this invitation to your organisation.
If you would like to attend, you can simply turn up on the day or advise us in advance of your attendance by registering at https://visitmymosque2018mk.eventbrite.co.uk.
